Youth Water Council

The North Saskatchewan Watershed Alliance (NSWA) is looking for 12 passionate students (ages 15 -18) to join their Youth Water Council program. Their 2025 Youth Water Council will embark on a journey of discovery over 8 months, through virtual learning sessions, an in-person workshop and weekend camp, and the creation of their own Innovative Project.

Prior experience or knowledge about watersheds or the environment is not required! Don't be too concerned about writing style or grammar - they are looking for applicants who can demonstrate their passion for environmental issues and who want to make a difference, big or small.

The program will begin on November 14th, 2024. They are accepting applications on a rolling basis until November 10th at 11:59 PM. Please fill out the application ASAP to confirm your seat on the council and see the schedule for more information on session dates.

If you have any questions about the program or application process, please email the program coordinator Kaila at kaila.belovich@nswa.ab.ca. Learn more about eligibility requirements and program commitments before applying at NSWA's website, https://www.nswa.ab.ca/initiatives/youth-water-council.
